Nestled in Kalumpang, Selangor, Beacon Resort boasts minimal light pollution, creating excellent conditions for stargazing. This makes it the perfect destination for those who want to escape the city lights and revel in the natural splendour of the night sky. On a clear night, you can see iconic constellations such as Orion, which is prominently visible from December to June. Orion’s bright stars, such as Betelgeuse and Rigel, illuminate the cosmic landscape visible from our location.

In addition, under optimal conditions, you can even catch a glimpse of the faint glow of the Milky Way across the sky, a humbling reminder of the vastness of our galaxy. This rare sight is often obscured in heavily urbanised areas, making the stargazing experience at Beacon Resort truly unique.

While stargazing is a magical experience all year round, certain seasons reveal different constellations. In Malaysia, the constellation of Orion shines brightest from December to June, especially between January and March when it is best viewed around 9 pm. Thanks to the minimal light pollution at Beacon Resort, the stars are visible in all their glory, making it one of the best stargazing spots in Selangor. The three bright stars of Orion’s Belt – Alnitak, Alnilam and Mintaka – are easily identifiable, adding to the magic of the night sky.

Naked-eye stargazing is subject to weather conditions and can be enjoyed from any of the resort’s open-air locations, offering stunning views of the night sky.
