Beacon Resort was exactly what I needed! A peaceful escape surrounded by lush greenery, fresh air, and soothing natural hot springs. No traffic, no city noise – just the soothing sounds of nature and endless views of green.
I arrived at 10 AM for the day trip, and after a warm welcome, the staff walked me through the available activities.
My adventure began with a visit to the Mini Animal Farm, where the most adorable animals greeted me! From fluffy guinea pigs, pygmy goats, to horses, waddling peking ducks, elegant white geese, and even curious turkeys.
I bought a bottle of animal feed for RM5 and had the best time feeding the animals. Watching these little creatures eagerly gather around for their snacks was such a heartwarming experience!
The staff recommended that I try the new grass sliding, and I couldn’t say no – especially as it was completely free!
Excited, I made my way to the grass slope where I was handed a sled. After carrying it up the stairs to the start, a member of staff showed me how to get into the right position. Heart pounding, I gave the signal and with a gentle push, I was off!
The wind whipped past me as I raced down the slope. It was a short but exhilarating ride and I couldn’t resist going back up again and again to relive the thrill!
After all the excitement, it was time to unwind. I slipped into my swimsuit and made my way to the natural hot spring, which has five pools, each with a different temperature. I chose one of the warmer pools and slowly eased myself into the soothing water. The warmth surrounded me, melting away all my stress and tension. It was pure relaxation.
Mineral-rich hot spring water is known to improve skin health and circulation, but what I appreciated most was the peace of being immersed in nature.
The staff also introduced me to their signature Hot & Cold Hydrogen Spa (Japan) and AromaTouch Functional Therapy. Although I didn’t have time to try them out on this visit, they are definitely on my list for the next time I visit!
Lunch was then served in the dining area at 12 PM, offering a range of healthy and tasty dishes. I couldn’t get enough of the chicken dish, only to discover later that the chicken was actually from their own Beacon Chicken farm, renowned for its superior nutritional value and remarkable tenderness.
After lunch, I gathered at the dining hall entrance at 2 PM, where a ranger was ready to lead me and the other guests. We followed him to the jungle trekking entrance. As we ventured into the forest, we were surrounded by towering trees, lush greenery, and the occasional flutter of butterflies, adding a magical touch to the journey.
The trek was relatively easy and took less than an hour to finish, but I’d recommend wearing insect repellent and long sleeves to keep the mosquitoes at bay!
After the trek, I took a leisurely walk along the Inki River. Hammocks were scattered along the riverbank, inviting visitors to relax. I lay in one, swaying gently between the river and the sky. The soothing sound of the flowing water and the cool breeze made it the perfect place to let my mind wander.
At 4 PM, afternoon tea was served at the same dining area. I particularly enjoyed the organic sprouted green bean soup – it was light, refreshing and comforting.
After tea, I strolled along the Camellia Walk, taking in the peaceful sounds of nature and marking the end of an unforgettable day.
As I wandered around the resort, I discovered some charming Santorini-inspired suites and even a dedicated campsite that offers an ambience and landscape like no other. Although this trip was a quick getaway without an overnight stay, I know I’ll be back – to fall asleep under the stars, wake up surrounded by greenery and start the day in perfect serenity!
